TEENS FOR CHRIST
Sunday School - 10:00am
The youth of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church are active in serving in various ministries of the church. During the Sunday School hour our youth are divided into classes as follows:
- Jr High Girls - Tawana Holland
- High School Girls - Lynda Vaughn
- Youth Boys - Kevin Vaughn & Ethan McKinney
Wednesday Evening
Pleasant Beach Teens for Christ meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The focus is on how to help teens grow into spiritual leaders at school, home, and in their community. Each week young people have an opportunity to share prayer request and praises with their peers and leaders. During their Wednesday night meeting a lesson is given from the Word of God to challenge and to strengthen their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ministries and Activities
Our young people are challenged to serve God in the days of their youth. Many are actively involved serving in the nursery, singing in the choir, ushering, working with children and a variety of other ministries. We are attempting to instill in them the principle of serving others, instead of seeing what others can do for them.
The youth enjoy exciting activities throughout the year. Basketball, volleyball, cookouts, skiing, bowling are just some of the activities they enjoy. We have taken many trips to places such as Carowinds, Six Flags, tour of Washington, DC and gone on various mission trips to Maine, New York City and the Philippines. Our annual trip to Arise Youth Conference is a highlight and a spiritual challenge to all who attend.
